Weekly Update

On Tuesday it was Happy hour with my friends.
 My friend Marlene.
 Liz of course.

This week I got a new car, well new to me at least.
And I had to take it apart already.
I put a new windshield wiper transmission into it a year ago and now the wipers quit working again.  The way it works is the arm that runs the transmission is held on with a nut.  The motor turns in the direction to unscrew the nut if the wipers are bound up before the torque of the motor can destroy the transmission.  There are torque specifications for the nut, which I ignored the first time I assembled it, that sets the torque where the nut comes loose.  This time I hope I got it right.
The car all back together.

This morning it was pretty cold.
Well, it is Minnesota :-)

Weekly Update

It has been cold this past week, so I have been cleaning inside the house.
 I re-arranged my family room.

I bought the "This End Up" bookcases from Craig's List and they are slightly different colors.  I hope as time passes and I keep maintaining them, they will become similar.
I cleaned up and re-arranged my living room.
That's my "Commie" flag with my NRA hats up on the wall.
I sorted my kitchen.
I washed all my decorative pots that I brought back from Mexico ten years ago.  Yes, that is "Grandpa Fritz's" globe off to the right.
On a final note, I dropped my good camera :-( while it still works, the lens makes grinding noises as it adjusts the focus and opens and closes.  It is what it is.

December Update

I had Christmas Dinner at my house.
Liz and I making our plans with Santa Claus.
Fritz and Patricia.
Frankie getting ready for dinner.
Passing the baby around after dinner.
Bundled up for the drive home.

Merry Christmas from the Whole Family.

 Gerardo Bought a New Car.
The Trade-In.
Saying "Goodbye" to the "Little Yellow Car".
With Mike, the salesman, and the New Honda.

New Years Eve.
I had Liz and her brother over for a small dinner.
We had a champagne and ham dinner, but to make sure the champagne was cold enough I put it in the freezer and when I opened it, it froze and squirted all over.  We only go one small glass each.
So, a couple of years ago I had a good apple harvest and used my excess apples to make some "hard" apple cider.  It has been aging since that time.  Mike and I decided to try it instead of the champagne.   It was "drinkable" but a little to dry for my taste.
We wish you a Happy New Year
