Not Chopped Liver

Marlene, a friend, invited a number of our friends to attend the dedication of a Native American Memorial in a Park in South St. Paul. Marlene's sister's (Jeanie) husband created it. It took six years. Liz, another of our friends, went with us.

Marlene, Jeanie, and Liz

Afterwards we went to the reception at El Burrito, Mercado. We had beans, rice, and chicken tacos. Very authentic.

Peanuts!

The on the way home we decided to stop at the "Back to the 50's Car Show" We met with another of our friends, Joanne. She gave us a tour of her Motor Coach. (Volvo chassis, 13.6 liter diesel with 13 speed Eaton Roadranger manual transmission)

We missed Patti, but we are planning another adventure soon.

Father's Day

I made a turkey on the grill and took it to Kate and Gerardo's house for Father's Day Dinner. It was very good. We made left-over lunches and they were very good too. Kate made German Potato Salad which was interesting. She was sad because it didn't turn out as well as she had hoped. I got a nice pair of shorts and a shirt for presents.

Beer Update

Most of you may remember the beer I made a few months ago. Making Beer I bottled up a couple of gallons and have just gotten around to trying it out. I used Grandpa Fritz's pitcher for that extra ambiance.

It is not the best I ever made but it is drinkable.
Check out the new color for the kitchen counters.

History

Not much has happened lately, the house is still torn up from the flood, I was in Georgia for 10 days, and I have been trying to get some of the yard and house projects done. At the airport in Atlanta, I noticed some very interesting artwork. I stopped and asked an attractive lady about it and she said she was meeting the Toyota People (wanted to know it I was one) and that she didn't know anything about it. I told her I was a General Motors person and she said she was sorry. Be that as it may, I took some pictures for the blog.

And that has been the high point of my life in the past few weeks.

Kasin the cat is still very unhappy with the condition of the house and lets me know at every opportunity. I have not yet turned on the air conditioner and I don't think he likes that either.

I have gotten some more of Walter's pictures scanned and will post a couple.

Look at the smile on that idiot's face!

On the back of this picture was the note in Elonet's handwriting. People don't believe we used to all eat together in the kitchen of the Wadsworth house.
