More Car Work

The Blazer was making disturbing noises from the rear wheels and then the brakes went out!!  If not one thing it is another.
This is not good.  As you can see the inside surface of the rotor disintegrated and the cooling fins destroyed the caliper.
I bought new parts at Auto Zone but when I was bleeding the brakes I could not get the caliper fitting to seal up.
This is the surface for sealing the caliper on the Auto Zone unit.  You can see where the steel washer tried to seal against the rough surface.
They gave me my money back and I got another caliper, for only a dollar more, at O'Reilly's that had a machined surface.
With the addition of some copper washers it sealed up without any trouble.

Thanksgiving 2014

This year was the coldest Thanksgiving that I can remember.
Liz modeling typical winter wear.

Kate and the "Little One's" brother came over to see if I was ready and it was so cold in the house that they never  took their coats off.

The turkey is ready.  It is a 22 pounder ready for the oven, it didn't go as far as I expected.

The house is heating up...."Get away from that thermostat!!!"

The Grand Kids out playing with a new "Polaris" sled.

The table set for dinner.

Getting ready to sit down for dinner.

After dinner it was time for "The Little One's" brother's birthday party.
Watching TV while we do the dinner dishes.

With Patricia.

Kate passing out the presents.

The "Little One" trying to get his share.  Oh no!! that is not the "Little One" that is Freddie.

Now is time for cake.

"We want some too"

Relaxing at the end of the day with the bones and a glass of wine.
