Weekly Update
Maple Grove Days. We went to my friend Patti's house to watch the parade.

This Has Been a Hot Week.
This week we have been caught in the "Ring of Fire", as the weather lady called it.
Monday it was 102 degrees F.
On the Fourth of July it was 104.
And on Friday it got to 102 again.
These are not what you would call Minnesota temperatures. I got very few on my jobs done this week, and didn't take any pictures of the few I did get done.
I had a nice dinner of Rib Eye Steaks and Lobsters for the 4th.
Liz, Marlene, and of course Kate and her family all came.
That morning, Liz and I took Kate and the BEHM out on the boat. Because it was the 4th, the boat launch was very busy and even though I got the last parking place, I was stressed and forgot to install the drain plug in the boat. As we are motoring out onto the lake I noticed that there was water starting to gush out of the vent for the bilge. What a comedy, we almost sank. Of course I got no pictures!!

Weekly Update
Children's Museum
Last weekend Liz was watching her grand-daughter so Kate and Gerardo took us to the Children's Museum in St. Paul.

This week I watched the BEHM and we made cupcakes.

Because the sun was so hot, I made an adapter so I could mount my umbrella on the boat.
I also bought a "Swim Ladder" so that we can go swimming.
It was a very good purchase, I would not have been able to get back in the boat without it.
