Weekend Update

For the past few years, Liz and I have had dinner together once a week. I find living alone I tend to "sink eat" and this is a good method for me to maintain my "company" manners along with my cooking skills. Since the first of this year Gerardo has had a class on Wednesday nights so I invited Kate to join us for dinner.
Kate, of course, brought along the "Little One".
This week we had Spaghetti and Meat Balls.
Here is the "Little One" wondering around after dinner.
Isn't he cute?

WeekEnd Update

I watched the "Little One" this week.He said, "I can fill these shoes!"
And off he went.
Later he thought it would be nice to get a ride in a box.
Well who to get to pull me?
I guess it has to be Grandpa.

Home For the Holidays

While "That Girl" and her family were enjoying the sun and warm weather I was shoveling snow.

Minnesota typically gets 60 inches of snow a year. Right now we are barely three months into the winter season and we have already had 52 inches of snow. Nothing is worse than the snow trucks pushing all the snow back into the driveway

I had to not only shovel my drive but also Kate's.

Liz walking the dog.

I have a dinner party around the New Year for my friends. This year the weekend before the party my oven broke. I had a couple of people over for Bean Soup and homemade bread and they were shocked as I tore into it. An igniter from e-bay was $24 plus shipping, but I have Center Point Energy Home Repair Plan (I had it for Kathleen while I was traveling and have not gotten around to cancelling it) and they came on Thursday and fixed it for free. Not to be outdone, my furnace igniter went bad on Friday and Center Point had to come back and fix that the next day. Life is always interesting.
