Retirement
As some of you know, I retired at the end of September. I have found out that what my retiree friends have told me is true, I am busier now than when I was working. I enjoyed my job but the time came for me to try something different.
One of my first projects was mounting an umbrella on my deck so I can sit and drink beer in the afternoon.
I welded up a couple of brackets to support it off the railing.
All done.
The brake lines on the truck rusted out and I had to repair.
I borrowed Pete's double flaring tool and made new lines. I cut the fittings off then drilled out the old tubing on my lathe.
I was able to do the whole job for the cost of the tubing.
