Weekend Projects

Now that my grill has been rebuilt, I decided to try another turkey.

I used a new pan.

Here it is all ready to go.

It is starting to get done.

Sitting down for dinner.

Leftovers for sandwiches and lunches.

Another project was the repair of Kate's garage door opener.

It was an interesting failure mode.

The bearing retainer at the top of the drive unit failed and the sprocket at the top of the shaft cut itself off after a time. It always made a lot of noise.

New shaft, bearing retainer, and sprocket all installed. It operates a lot quieter now.

Comments:
The exact same thing happened to ours this week! But, we didn't know they could be repaired, we just had a new one installed. Corrine

There is nothing better than living close to your engineer father. Maybe living close to your retired engineer father!!
