Lunch at the Onion Market
This Saturday, we had to work so we all went out for lunch at the "Onion Market" in Karacabey. At the "Onion Market" you do not get a choice of dishes. Typically, it is only for the merchants that sell onions but they will serve anyone. They brought a lot of "pita" type bread that was very good.
It is like family style. We has salad with onions, spicy peppers, and roasted peppers to start. In this part of Turkey, they use onions as the Russians used cabbage. The entree was lamb in a spicy sauce. It was very good.
We had a choice of candied pumpkins or a a small cake soaked in sweet sauce for dessert. I definitely got enough to eat. I didn't get any pictures of the market, next time.

onions, hmmm... I remember the smell of onions permeating the air while we were in India.
Great to hear from you. I will be home on the 4th and can't wait to see Maadi and Trixie. When are you going back to MSP?
