Hauling the Freight.

I have started using the truck to haul things. As my readers well know, I used to have an Astro Van that I used to haul things. Looking out for my own best self interest (in the words of Adam Smith), I traded it in for Cash for Clunkers last fall. So now I am using Liz's Pickup Truck.Off to Recycle. (I may need to do something about tires soon.)
Hauling insulation for the garage. My friend Pete was doing some excavation at his church and gave me some dirt for back fill around my garage. A mini-backhoe.Pete supervising the work.
A quick stop at Home Depot for some insulating board.
You can see how high the garage sets above the ground. I need at least ten truck loads of dirt to back fill. (I calculate)Unloading the dirt at my house. Some bushes to plant.

Spring Is Finally Here.

It is about time, that Spring has arrived. For whatever reason, this winter has been very hard for me. I have had difficulty in getting motivated and getting any of the jobs done around the house. (you probably noticed my lack of blogging) Everything was very hard. But now that the weather is warming up maybe I will get some of my jobs done. Visit by Gerardo, The Baby, Liz, and Kate. Making a chicken on the rotisserie. That does look good. Flowers in the front yard. My Trillium.

Fred!!!! Not ANOTHER car.

I have gotten started on a new project. It has a hitch for a fifth wheel trailer. The problem is that I cannot carry drywall and boards with the hitch installed. The heads of the bolts broke right off.
It became a project but at the end of the day it was taken out. A minor hole in the bed, but at least flat enough to carry my stuff.
