This is Fred’s site set up to communicate with my friends and relatives. It is just a journal of my travels and adventures. I think it is an easy way to keep in touch.

CEAP Taste of Minnesota
Kate is a board member for a group known as CEAP. They had a fundraiser and Liz and I went with Kate and Gerardo.
Here Liz and I are hugging the 'Caribou'.
Liz, Kate, and Gerardo trying some special drinks.
I took Liz to U-Pull Auto Parts to get a couple of parts for her Saturn. She needed a new side mirror and I needed a couple of bolts for the one in my garage.
She didn't have any trouble finding the right parts and getting them off.
She enjoys getting into her work.
On the way home we found an Alien Bar and Grill!!!
I wanted a model alien and tried to win one in a machine but after a number of tries and a great deal of frustration, the kid beside me finally gave me one.
The sauna has finally been signed off by the building inspectors. They were very nice and worked with me during the 4 years since I started this project. I failed the electrical inspection the first time and had to make some changes but everything else went quite well.
The vanity.
The sauna.
The door and hallway, I didn't have a permit to finish the basement so it is still in the 'rough' state.
This has been the first real day of Spring, and none too soon. The high was in the 70's, the sun was shining, I mowed the grass, didn't really need it but I want to, cleaned my garage a bit, picked up the house and enjoyed the day.
The Saturn is moving along, I have all the parts back and am ready to start assembly.
Is it a Daffodil or an Iris?

Question of the Day, Just a small prize for this one because it it so easy, what plant is this?
Liz and I went to the Minneapolis Orchestra last night to see Copland's Appalachian Spring. We had an excellent time.
O Appalachian Spring! I gained the ledge;
Steep, inaccessible smile that eastward bends
And northward reaches in that violet wedge
Of Adirondacks!
We wandered around downtown Minneapolis and split a Fish sandwich at Brit's English Pub. Quiz of the day, a large and valuable prize to the first person to identify these plants, I am growing for Kate.
