Friday Adventure, 30 June 2006

We had a short adventure this week. Stopped at a park in North Minneapolis and enjoyed a view of the river then drove down to the Milwaukee Avenue Historic District.Milwaukee Avenue is the home to the most intact cluster of Late 19th century railroad worker cottages in the city. The picturesque Victorian homes were saved from demolition in the 1970's.
It seems to be the home of artists and students now. Some of the cottages are very upscale but others need some work.

On the way home, we stopped at an ice cream stand and Kathleen had an apricot ice cream cone and Fred had coconut. It was then off to Trader Joe's for some wine and then home.

I am really impressed with you guys! I would like to see Milwaukee Ave. and all the old houses. A great alternative to Summit.

Had a great 4th - no pictures to blog though (the disk was full) but will pick and choose from this weekends pictures.
