Friday Adventure, 16 June 2006
This week's adventure was to Trader Joe's to look for a quantity of "Two Buck Chuck". this is a new store in South Minneapolis. We drove down and couldn't wait to get inside. Fred bought a whole case of 'Two Buck' for home.
Afterwards we went shopping for clothes at Target and JC Penneys at Ridgedale. It was just too hot and muggy to be outside. Tired but happy, we had an early dinner at Applebees restaurant. We were the second people there, so Fred asked, "Are we too early?" They replied that we were right on time. By the time we got done it had started to rain and storm.
Our Friday Shopping.
We got home and Kathleen went up to take a shower and Fred was surfing on the computer and lightning struck beside the house and took out the computer. Thankfully nothing else seems to be effected.
Dead, our computer is dead! Our Friday adventure ended up being an interesting Saturday adventure. Fred and Gerardo went shopping for a new computer. That story will be another blog. Simply say that we were able to get back on line.
Our rain gauge showing 4.5 inches of water from the storm.

We had a tornado warning around 5 pm today. I got caught on Columbia - lightning, blinding rain, wind. With white knuckles, I managed to get home. A tree fell in the middle of Stone Jug, so I had to skirt around that. I was so glad to be home.
I think Maple Grove is a magnet for lightning. Remember what happened to us a few years back? A lightning hit a bush in front and messed up our garage door opener, a telephone, a TV, a VCR, and set up the security alarm system.
There's a Trader's Joe in Ann Arbor - we'll visit it on our next trip. Kathleen - you should try Lambec, the fruit-flavored beer. I like the Belgian raspberry one that Ed bought a couple of days ago.
