Nope, No Spring Yet

It isn't quite spring yet. We had what is known in Minnesota as a tournament snowstorm. We got enough so it even could be called 'blowable' snow. The snow plow ran down our street sign but other than that it was not too bad.

Gerardo Turns 33 Years Old

Gerardo celebrated his 33rd birthday. Kathleen and Fred treated everyone to an excellent meal at Big Bowl on Friday night. Fritz finished his qualifying exams and was home visiting us for the weekend. It was nice to have the whole family together.

Lettuce wraps are one of our favorites. When we were done it was back to Kate and Gerardo's apartment for cake and ice cream.

Gerardo's birthday party, everyone got lots of presents. Kate rented the movie theater at their apartment and we saw a movie on Saturday night.

Fred and Fritz made English Sponge Pudding in the pressure cooker. Fritz was familiar on how it was suppose to turn out and he said it was OK. The day will come when they will blow themselves up.

YiYu got a new toy for Gerardo's birthday. Here she and Kate are playing with it. The cat, Kazin, is looking on in horror.

Comments:
In Minnesota, in March, snowstorms are common enough that they have a name, 'tournament snowstorms'. They coincide with the March High School hockey and basketball tournaments along with the 'March Madness' college basketball tournaments. We have interesting names for things. I heard the name for the pile of snow across the end of the driveway, but don't remember what it was. Will look it up.
