Memorial Day Projects

Relaxing

Rib-eye steaks with fried mushrooms and onions for dinner. Homemade potato salad and baked beans.

Washing

Giving YiYu a bath. Project Numero Uno.

Gardening
Memorial Day is the traditional garden planting day and this year was no different. We replaced many of Kathleen's flowers with vegetables this year. We did save some of the flowers.

House Repairs
I am removing the built in from the family room as part of the remodel. the new televisions no longer fit in the unit.

The fireplace hearth was built after the cabinets were installed and I have a couple of voids to fill

Bathroom Project
Work is proceeding on the bath in the basement. Warren laying the floor tile.
The matching wall tile. Both jobs took a lot longer than we planned but it has turned out OK so far.

We still have to grout the tile and do the trim but we are in the last stages of construction.

History

What a bunch of skinny people!!! Didn't they get enough to eat? How about a date and a location? As an added note, what is the story of Martha's sock and shoes?

Mother's Day Walk for the Cure.

Ed and Alicia came to Minneapolis to walk with us at the Twin Cities Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Afterwards we went to Fogo de Chao and had lunch. We all ate too much.

While they were visiting they made Flan (from scratch) and we had a nice dinner at Granite City.

Back in History

Walter gave me some of the old pictures he had in the attic of Fritz's house. I am slowly getting them scanned. Can you find Elonet in this class picture from 1927 North High School Class Picture?

Trip to California.

A little picture tour of the trip from LA to Yosemite Park for the wedding.

Leaving Los Angles and heading North. Entering Yosemite Park. Beautiful scenery.

Traveling in the Van. Kate asking, "Are we there yet? Can I use the bathroom? When can we eat?".

Relaxing at the cabin. Front row: Kurt, Fritz, Kate, Phyllis, Chase
Rear row: John, Walter, Dave, Fred, and Gerardo.

Fritz and Patricia's Wedding

Yosemite Falls is where the wedding took place.
Hiking was the activity for the day.

This is the reception that night.

Phyllis, Kurt and Chase along with others.

Some of the orchids.

Of course Uncle Walter.
