Got Cold? "You betcha."

It has been bitter cold the last few days, YiYu didn't stay out long before wanting back into the house and even Fred dressed up for the weather. We had the house closed up like being inside a cocoon. The drapes and blinds were all closed to keep out the cold, the plants were unhappy but we all must make sacrifices.

Comfort Activity of the week.

A little bit of 'Comfort Activity' getting new rugs and towels for the upstairs bathroom. We went from the black to a lighter richer mellow warm brown rug.

We think it makes the bathroom a bit softer and more soothing.

Valentines Day we stopped for a sandwich then dropped in on Kate and Gerardo to wish them a Happy Valentine's Day.

Tear Down Trend

Fred and YiYu frequently walk across Eagle Lake and check on the million dollar houses replacing perfectly adequate quarter million dollar homes. Here are some pictures of the latest. Very nice, too bad we don't have any 'before' pictures but they tore down a very nice house to build this one.

Winter makes a comeback, the warm and cold.

We had a warm weekend celebrating Kate's birthday.

We also had a small return to winter. It was nice to see a little snow again. The temperatures have remained quite mild. Next door they have gotten some icicles.

June-uary is over

We had a small chunk of arctic air break off from Canada and come down to end January. We are told to expect more normal weather for the next few weeks.

On SuperBowl Sunday, YiYu enjoyed Animal Planet's version called "Puppy Bowl"
