Carp, Not for Sader Dinner

This is the 'Hare on the Bell'. We don't know what it means either.

Third Friday Adventure 6/17/2005

We got a late start this Friday because we had three doctor’s appointments all stacked up but still made it to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. The weather was beautiful for wondering around and looking at all the interesting exhibits. We saw a couple getting married at one of the pavilions. Afterwards we drove around the Lakes on the way home

Kazin's Adventure

Last weekend was very stressful for Fred. Kazin appeared to be missing..I tried to offer solace..I tried offering an explanation- cats go off..especially male cats. Fred was having none of it. He searched indoors and out..imagining the worse. Kazin turned up for a late dinner at about 8:30.. Fred gave him a tongue lashing and threatened never to allow him out again..Fred talk to him about a global positioning device..Kazin simply ignored him..ate his meal and pleaded to be let out..He was allowed out..it is to late and confusing to reset the rules.Fred really loves the little guy. Our Second Friday 6/10/2005

This last Friday we took the trolley tour around Minneapolis, picking it up at the Mill City Museum and traveling both legs. It goes around the city and a second trolley goes around the lakes. It was the only nice weather day in the last couple of weeks. It gave us an overview of the many secrets of the city which we will visit in more detail on the coming Fridays. We are especially looking forward to the sculptor garden and the Walker Library.

Here we are at Mill City.

Kathleen and the trolley.

Corrine and Bob sent us a Gardenia plant last week and we have it on the plant stand.

El pay de la Tia Silvia

Here are pictures of Kathleen's birthday treat. It is a specialty of Gerardo's aunt Silvia. It was made with cream cheese and sour cream in a egg white merange. the crust is Kellogg Corn Flake Crumbs. It was very good, a lot lighter than what we expected. Both Fred and Gerardo had two pieces.

Kathleen's New Runabout

This is the newest addition to our fleet. This is Kathleen's new Golf Cart. Just a small car to go into Maple Grove and over to her mall.

We won't lose this one in a parking lot.

Kathleen and her co-pilot.

Basic Car Maintenence

Kate and Gerardo changed the oil and rotated the tires on Kate's Saturn. As you can see Kate was running the show and making sure everything came out right.

Kathleen and Fred went on the regular Friday adventure to Anoka library and then to an Art Fair in Edina. They stopped in Anoka to take a picture of the confluence of the Rum River and the Mississippi River. This is considered a sacred site.  Posted by Hello

Memorial Day 2005

Here is a picture of Elonet's potato salad. Alicia and Fred really like it and Kathleen said that if Alicia ever moves back to the Twin Cities she will start making it again but barring that event, this was the last time she was ever going to make it. Kate watched very carefully and promised to make it the next time Fred wants it.
