Father's Day Update

Best Father's Day Present Ever.

Gerardo and BEHM dropped it off on Saturday, I can't wait to get it fueled up and give it a try.

Another view of my Father's Day present.

For dinner to celebrate we had fried "beer battered" fish and macaroni and cheese (homemade)

Frying the fish.
All done, ready to eat.

The BEHM pretending to be Curious George.

In other news, Liz and I drove up north last week.
We stopped in Akeley for gas and.....
.... sat on Paul Bunyan's hand.
Here I am pulling Liz's boat out of the weeds to bring down to the Cities.  As you probably were able to guess, my Father's Day present was not the boat but a new lawnmower!!!

Weekly Update

It is Green Hair day.
Even though it is not St. Patrick's Day, Green hair looks good on the BEHM.
 Very Nice.

Here he is reading a magazine.
He is almost all trained.

Kate made a "Coconut Cream Pie".
It was very good.

The Blazer Story.
I finally got the Blazer back together.  It had leaky intake manifold gaskets.  What a job!!!  It is as if I have been working on it for a month.  My friend, Dean, came over and helped me get the manifold on, which was the hardest part of the job.
In an interesting story, the distributor has to be removed to remove the intake manifold.  The manual goes into great detail on how to re-install it.  It recommends that the screws are replace that hold the cap in position when it is removed to set the timing.  I tried to buy new screws at the Government Motors dealer but besides wanting $2.50 each, they had none in stock. (I had dropped one of the originals behind the motor and lost it upon removal)   So, in a stroke of genius, I re-threaded the holes in the distributor housing from 4mm X 1 to #6-32.  I just happened to have a couple of #6-32 socket head cap screws to hold the cap on.
